well my dad, ash and i headed out for man/girl night. we hit up sci-fi city and browsed around and introduced ashley to the world of comics and 30-40 year old men yelling and ranting at their war games. not picking on them as ash put it “they have found something they are passionate about.” lol anyway then we headed off and ate a nice romantic dinner at hooters. man night was a success and my girl proves to still be number one for being a trooper and hanging out with the boys tonight. by they way apparently as the salesman was explaining we will all discover if batman died or lived in the newest release of the comic lol. and also he totally convinced me to buy the joker comic, his enthusiasm sold me and the student discount lol

in addition to my last post i was thinking about something else my friend and i were discussing and that was how God reveals himself in mysterious ways and works our life out in and through other people and their situations. for a more real example of this read my past blog Christmas story

I had an amazing conversation with a good friend yesterday in which we discussed life, God, and everything in between. it is really amazing to see how God makes himself known in every single person’s life regardless of if they choose to see it or not. for my friend he described how we get so caught up doing life and using the talents and gifts that God has given us that we take God completely out of the equation. eventually living without God becomes unattractive, boring, confusing, it feels like something is lacking.

tired but here’s what i learned real quick. you always learn something new everyday. today i learned not to judge, to be humble, and to watch how i talk about people. people will surprise you. don’t give up on people. and sometimes when you think they aren’t doing what they are “supposed” to be doing, you may be wrong and they may be directly on course.

sorry i missed you guys yesterday caught the throw up bug or food poisoning still not sure which but i know it almost did me in. anyway just wanted to shoot out love to those checking out my blog, i appreciate it i’ll hit you guys up tomorrow with some new thoughts.

i was reading brewster’s new post about the man living like Jesus for a year. honestly it convicted me slightly but other than that didn’t do much for me. what really effected me was to read the comments under it. wow…..so much hate and anger and boasting with no humility from a christian and a non-christian. it was really sad. especially when all the believer responded with was talk of God creating a hell and those who were beating on the christian belief going there. it was sad on both sides. the whole point of the story was missed. Christ so impacted this man’s life he lived out a year trying to do and be exactly who Christ was (aka a disciple of christ). Christ’s message is love. love.. love… love… love.. love… we are missing it guys. its love. love love… yes there is a lot to all of it. but love is the core. its the beginning its the foundation.

I was at blockbuster yesterday and ash my mom and i were in line waiting to rent “sisterhood of the traveling pants” and the lazerous project-sp? anyway this lady walks over to everyone stands so every one could see her and proceeds to ask if anyone has a dog or a cat……. everyone looked at her like she was an alien and so a couple people entertained her strange confidence and said yes i have a dog a cat etc…. she then proceeded to tell us that her dog that day had eaten half a pack of sugar free gum and was not expected to make it. and then proceeded to warn all the women to watch out leaving gum in their purses because sugar free gum is deadly to animals and then proceeded to explain that something in it shut down their liver or something……………..anyway it was the most awkward 3 minutes i have ever had at blockbuster but my heart goes out to this lady. she poured her heart out to a bunch of strangers and issued a warning. she knew she would be perceived as a little nutty and probably made fun of but you know what she got her point across and she was able to vent a little and share her pain. interesting how people handle situations some cower and some step up. obviously this totally made me laugh but i gotta give the lady props for being bold enough to share her feelings with 12 strangers at blockbuster…..

ps……sisterhood of the traveling pants 2 was totally my girlfriend’s choice and i must say it was drama drama drama drama form start to finish and then the movie went to another level when they all hopped on a plane to greece to find a pair of pants….hfkrehfehrfjkehwkjawwwjwjwjw sorry just threw up in my mouth hahahah
