be inspired……but more importantly learn….Work……Work……Work

success doesn’t come from dreaming all day.

So i’m entering my junior year of college i got in my room set it up it is unbelievable, my room mate and suite mates are amazing!!!! i was so excited and had a glow about me as i ran and saw all of my friends i was jumpin on people and just smiling sneaking in rooms and messing with some of my closest friends that i haven’t seen in a while!!! it was amazing!!!! God is good there are tough challenges ahead academically and spiritually but its a new season, a new semester, a new chance at making this my best semester and i am determined to do it so cowboy up seu juniors lets make history and touch God

[deep breath] [exhale]….let me tell you life moves! everything is constantly changing. 

recently i have received the news that my next door (suite mate) is not returning this semester (one of the first people i met at college), i found out my lakeland church (church i attend when at college) is merging with another local church to more effectively touch the community which is awesome but from what i know the lead pastor in which i had a decent relationship with and knew about my arrangement for class credits is no longer the pastor as of the last sunday in this month. the couple that really held the youth together and took me and my other three college friends in and really poured into our lives and started a young college group with us left for arizona two weeks ago, and now the youth group is merging with the new youth group and we (me and the other youth leaders) are not there to even comfort them, encourage them, or even meet the new pastors…etc. i have no idea if the current youth pastor is still youth pastor i don’t even know how many of our kids still go to the youth group and all this to add to a new school year. 

well all that said and a million mixed emotions i guess here we go…time to man up.. and do work….God must have something big in store.

So i have always been in a love-hate relationship with Sean/Pdiddy/Combs but recently i been watching his show and i gotta say although it can come across arrogant and at times cocky i do respect his drive for success. i was watching the second episode of “i want to work for diddy” and in it Diddy made an amazing statement/metaphor that really stuck to me. 

not verbatim- “When i lay down its like i’m in love and when you are in love you can hardly catch a wink of sleep you are excited and want to get up and see that person and for me that love is my work i go to sleep and can’t wait to get up and start working again.” 

the irony is as i was writing that i remembered brewster’s blog is actually on this same concept that i’m about to adress; “Loving what you do” loving your job, i am about to be a third year college kid and i have learned a lot but i still am not positive what i want to do but whatever i do end up doing i want to love it i want to go to sleep waiting to wake up and start at my job again for the day.  

Drive is so important if you want it get up and get it! 

You have to find what you love and what makes you “you” and go out and apply it to something productive that is conducive with who you are.
