Growing every day

The other day i was walking down the sidewalk at school and i looked and saw a movie ticket stub sitting on the ground. It got me thinking about what a ticket stub really is. It is a receipt, it is proof of where you have been, it displays an event in bold writing, and it may even tell the price you have paid.  In life we have spiritual ticket stubs all throughout our life some are visible such as a scar on your body like my scar from my car accident on my arm is a reminder of God’s protection. Jacob encountered God and walked with a limp the rest of his life. Other “ticket stubs” are journal entries… others are memories. Specific events are in bold print in your memory Best i would say; most are lessons and are evident through who you are now. There are memorable moments in your life some are trying and in those trying times you pay a price. When i was a freshman in college i  made some very dumb decisions and earned a bad reputation for it. It took a year to get rid of that rep. and it was only by the grace of God and a change in who i was and God’s grace and protection and forgiveness. Sometimes though you pay a price and it is hard but worth it in the end and the “ticket stub” in your life is your “testimony” Your testimony both by word and life is a living witness of the grace of God. it is the proof of Where you have been, what Christ paid, and Christ blood shed on the cross is the receipt. (thanx Jacob your message stuck tonight).  Sometimes people discard their ticket stubs and they throw them away. but i encourage you let others see your ticket stub let them see the price Christ paid for you (his life) and let them see where you have been and what it cost you.   My favorite part is that back home these ticket stubs can be traded in at houligans for 10 free wings….. Remember to  redeem (redemption) your ticket stubs for all the wonderful gifts God has for you spiritual growth, character development, testimonies, and most importantly the gift of eternal life by accepting Christ’s as Lord and Savior. No matter what ticket stubs you carry whether they need to be discarded or saved God will take them all and throw the sins found in all of them as far as the east is from the West all you have to do is ask for forgiveness.  But just like houligans makes you buy ten wings before you get ten free  Remember God’s grace is limitless but don’t take advantage of that Live a life for God change your patterns live fully for God give him all you have and are…and just like it is goofy to have two ticket stubs to the same event don’t make the mistakes of your past, don’t revisit those events or get involved in them again learn from the price of the first go around. Accept Christ, ask for forgiveness, Live for God obey his commandments and receive eternal life with God forever that’s a better deal and an easier one than buy ten get 10 free if you ask me…..
